Incomplete Installation

After I downloaded and installed one of the UpLoaders, I didn't get
anything that would launch the software. The installation folder
contained only htm, gif, png & jpg files and a emz file. The only
thing in the Common800 folder was the Help folder. Did I get a bad
download?

Hi Jennifer,

The problem you described is caused by installing DataTools on a workstation where another Pervasive integration product (Business Integrator or Data Integrator) is installed.

Follow the steps in the knowledge base article entitled Solving Installation Problems if you want to un-install the Pervasive integration product and then install the Pervasive DataTools product.

Of course, the other option is to install DataTools on a different workstation where no other Pervasive integration product is installed.

Yes, it worked. Sorry, I wasn't aware that the 2 didn't "play well" together. I had been running an older version of BI, without uninstalling it first.
Once BI was uninstalled, all is well.
