Is your salesforce connector ready for European customers ?
Hi everyone,
I have some pb to make a connection with my Salesforce Database.
(API_DISABLED_FOR_ORG: API is not enabled for this Organization or Partner message, but it's works fine with others products : Sforce Excel connector, QueryAmp, Crystal report...)
I'm in Europe and the URL to access the web service API is : https://emea.salesforce.com
Is it the path hardcoded in your built-in connection ? If not, how can I modify this parameter by myself ?
Thanks for your help.
Best,
Olivier Torres

RE: DataTools Salesforce.com Connector
Hi Olivier,
I confirmed that our connector to Salesforce.com works as I described in my first reply; i.e., the server to which DataTools connects is selected based on the Username and Password you enter in the DataTools interface.
For example, on the Source Connection tab in the Data DownLoader from Salesforce.com, there is a box where you enter your Username for your SFDC account, and there is a box where you enter your Password for your SFDC account. When those are entered correctly, the Data DownLoader from Salesforce.com connects to the instance of SFDC for which those login credentials are valid.
If you are still receiving the error after verifying you have entered your login credentials correctly, please post a reply here and provide us with step-by-step details of exactly what you are doing (omit your SFDC userid and password, of course!) and let us know EXACTLY where the error occurs and the EXACT verbiage of the entire error message.
Thank you,- Jo
RE: DataTools Salesforce.com Connector
Hi Olivier,
The Salesforce.com server to which the Data UpLoader to Salesforce.com connects is determined by the login you provide when prompted in the DataTools products.
For example, if your instance of Salesforce.com resides on their server named "emea.salesforce.com", when you enter your SFDC Username and Password, the Data UpLoader should connect to that server by default because you cannot have logins to multiple instances of SFDC with the same UserID and Password.
The error message seems to indicate that the server on which your instance of Salesforce.com resides is not available to our API calls.
I will check into the error you reported and post another response as soon as possible.
