Convert from Excel to SAS dataset
I have an excel file that I want to convert into a sas data set. I am getting the following error message.
Connector (Excel 2000) is not available for use. It is either not licensed with the product or the product associated with the connector is not installed or accessible. Error 25003 setting connector (Excel 97) name: connector type invalid or unspecified.

RE: Convert from Excel to SAS dataset
Hi sheridany,
Sorry for the delayed response. I needed to find a workstation with Excel 2003 and create a test spreadsheet to try to reproduce the error you reported.
I opened the Data UpLoader to SAS, selected Excel 2000 as the Source Connector, and connected successfully to my Excel 2003 test file. I did not get any errors, and the Data UpLoader to SAS displayed the data in my test file perfectly.
You may want to verify the version of the Excel file you are trying to read. Or you may want to verify that the file is not corrupted.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Tried Again
I have tried a couple of different versions of the spreadsheet saved in different excel formats and non of them work at all with Pervasise to convert from Excel to SAS. How do we solve this?
RE: Excel to SAS
Hi sheridany,
The SAS target connector in DataTools is designed to know and apply some "rules" about the target SAS Transport data file and its basic format. Based on those rules, check these items when creating the map:
Additional information can be found in the SAS Transport File help topic in the product documentation.
Please let us know if any of these resolve the problem for you, or not.
