How to use exisiting Structured Schema - Option Dimmed

Trying to follow instructions for using an exising XML schema that I have, however the option for this is dimmed. (I have 5 day trial, but was told all options are enabled for this.) I have an .XSD file and want to somehow use this and then map my DB fields to this. Am I missing something?

RE: How to use exisiting Structured Schema

Hi ddeveaux,

The inability to use an existing structured schema for an XML target is a limitation of the DataTools products, and is not due to using the trial license.

DataTools products are limited to single-record-type sources and targets. For data projects that require support for multiple-record-type sources and/or targets, you may want to check out the Pervasive Data Integrator. Basic information can be found on this page of Pervasive Software's corporate web site: http://ww2.pervasive.com/Integration/Products/Pages/PervasiveDataIntegra...

Existing Structured Schema

To ensure I understand, forgetting the existing structured schema, if I'm trying to create an XML document and have an Access Table with 5 records. I must create 5 XML files for this? I cannot use the DataTools product to create 1 XML file that contains the 5 records even when they all come from 1 Access table?

I think the Integrator is going to be overkill for us on this project. Down the road that may make sense, but I'm sure it's too costly for the small projects we are trying to develop now.

Thanks,

RE: Existing Structured Schema

Hi ddeveaux,

After looking at your required target XML data file schema, we have determined that DataTools does not have that capability...sorry.

Please keep DataTools in mind for any future data projects for which we offer data tools with a better "fit".
