Btrieve Owner property
I am trying to open a file that I think is a btrive file with the parser and there is a field it is asking for "Owner", I don't know what that means so I leave it blank and I get the message "error 3012 on btrv open (25519)".
Is this becuase I don't have the "owner" info?
If so does anybody know how to get this info?

RE: Btrieve Owner property
Hi ronganus,
The property entitled "Owner" is where you would enter a user ID if the Btrieve data file requires a security login before you can open the file.
Per a knowledge base article in the Support section of Pervasive Software's corporate web site, a Btrieve error 3012 means the "Local engine is not accessible to the MicroKernel router". As it applies to DataTools and an attempt to connect to a Btrieve data file or Pervasive.SQL database, it usually means you either don't have a Btrieve/P.SQL engine installed and configured properly on the same workstation where DataTools is installed, OR that the Btrieve/P.SQL engine is not running.
Check out this knowledge base article on the DataTools web site, and let us know if this resolves the problem for you, or not.
